Here's another press event ticket for the 1965 Tencennial Celebration at Disneyland, which was held 10 years and a day after the opening.
I've seen footage of this event...gotta love that dancing cake.

Hey, I have nightmares about that dancing cake!!!
Awesome ticket! I love all things 1965 (the year I was born!)...
I wonder what the "Press Credentials" looked like?
Fun Stuff - THANKS!!!!
Cool ticket!
One of the things that drives me crazy about those vintage Disneyland themed TV shows is that they usually spend 10 or 15 minutes on a parade or dance routine (which range from mildly entertaining to yawn-inducing), and then often show repeated footage of the entire "It's a Small World" ride. I guess the cost-cutting was too great to resist?
Major, you've hit on a deep dark secret of mine. I find a lot of the Disneyland TV programs to be.....boring. The early ones less so because the footage was fresh, but by the mid-60's, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Jedblau,
Wow--I don't remember those, but that's the event I attended as a kid.
Jedblau, what's your email address? I scanned our "official" family photo of that day and tried to get a decent scan of our press party badges/credentials.
Jed, not to belabor the subject, but years ago, somebody gave me a bunch of "Vault Disney" episodes that he had taped off of TV, all Disneyland related shows (many not available on DVD yet). I saw so much repeated footage, it was ridiculous (like a POV ride on the Matterhorn, which is awesome at first, but by the third time....yeesh).
Newer shows from the 80's, with stars like Tony Danza or whoever, are unwatchable!!
