The "Coming Soon!/Now Open!" Series Begins!

For the next few days (weeks?), I will be posting my complete collection of "Now Open!" and "Coming Soon!" flyers and brochures in chronological order (except for the 1961 Monorail flyer that I've previously posted.) Even if a particular piece isn't especially rare, I'm still going to post it in the interest of preserving my obsessive-compulsive sanity. I hope it's an interesting archive.
From 1955, here is the flyer announcing the upcoming debut of the infamous Mickey Mouse Club Circus. It's so long that I had to scan it in two parts. I also have a press release for the MMC, and it says that the circus was scheduled to be placed in Holidayland originally, an interesting alternative to where it actually wound up.
If you haven't already, check out this super rare 8mm footage of the MMC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvoGtLVqv84

Never seen this one before! Of course, anything to do with the MMC is super rare, and this is great because it really does resemble and old circus poster.

I was thrilled to find an unused ticket to the MMC (yes, the stub was attached)...it wasn't cheap, but every time I see it I am glad I have it!

It's very interesting to see this flyer. It's identical to a newspaper advertisement that appeared on November 23, 1955, in at least the Los Angeles Times and Long Beach Press-Telegram, but probably other area papers, too.

While we're on the subject of the Circus, does anybody know where exactly the final shows of Professor Keller's Jungle Killers was held? The Nickel Tour says they were held "in a small tent at the foot of Main Street, just off the Plaza, where he finished out his last season at Disneyland." But it also says that he performed a second season inside the giant circus tent--so I have no idea!
