Back in Action...Kinda

I'm back for this brief and kinda lazy entry. I'm still not supposed to lift anything over 5 pounds or bend down, and unfortunately for this blog, that includes schlepping and plugging in my scanner. So, for now, this is as good as it gets.

This is a photo of the exterior of the Art Corner in the late 1950's. It was sold on Ebay (the photo, not the exterior), and I managed to grab it before it was taken down a few minutes after the auction ended.

Check out the $20k in attraction posters hanging in the window. Back then, these would have all cost about...oh, let's say...$15.

Love the lettering affixed to the exterior.

Glad to see you back, and what a cool photo, I've never seen one of the art corner before.

How's your back? Hope you are up and around and back in action.

Wow...

When all you needed was a building.

Awesome photo!

Glad to see that you are back. Absolutely fantastic photograph. It dates from appproximately mid-summer 1958. If you look to the right of the building you can see the Viewliner at the Tomorrowland Station. You can also see the Viewliner information sign that was posted at the station. This sign was only up for a few months before the Viewliner closed in September 1958. When you are feeling better is there any chance of posting a detail scan of the Viewliner and sign area? WOW !!! that would be awesome.

Better take it easy. Your doctor may read this blog.
Great to have you back.

I do not have the photo, so I cannot provide a detail scan, unfortunately. I wish!

I understand now Jed. I think I just woke up. This is one of the Bruce Gordon Estate photographs. I'm OK. LOL. Thanks again though.

I missed out on this one as well as an interior view; I did manage to obtain two other interior images of the Art Corner from Bruce Gordons estate. Awsome prints.
